Find the heavy mail weighing down your inbox.
Mailweight sweeps Gmail for huge attachments and years-old clutter, shows how much space it's taking, and selects every bit of it for you. You make the call on Delete.
No sign-in. No servers. Nothing leaves your browser.
Why Mailweight
Clears gigabytes, not just the first 50 emails.
Gmail's own select box stops at one page. Mailweight goes the whole way, and it's honest about the numbers.
Six ready-made searches
Huge attachments, big and forgotten files, stale promotions and social notifications, and the five-year-old long tail.
Selects every page
One click ticks every match in Gmail, across every page of results, not just the 50 on screen.
Counts what Gmail won't
When Gmail just says "1–50 of many", Count exactly pages to the end of the search to find the real number.
Honest sizes
247 messages over 10 MB is at least 2.4 GB. Mailweight says "at least" and means it, with no inflated guesses.
Never deletes on its own
It selects, you press Delete. Nothing disappears without you seeing it first, and starred mail is always left out.
Stays out of your way
Opens from Chrome's toolbar, drags anywhere, resizes, and remembers where you left it.
How it works
Three clicks to a lighter inbox.
Mailweight drives Gmail's own search, so what you see is exactly what Gmail finds.
Open it in Gmail
Click the Mailweight icon in Chrome's toolbar on any Gmail tab. The panel slides in beside your inbox.
Sweep your mailbox
Six searches run one after another, with a progress bar and a time estimate, and each shows what it found.
Select, then delete
Click Show and select on any group and every match is ticked. Check it, press Delete, then empty Trash.

Questions
Good to know.
Does Mailweight delete my email?
No. It selects matching messages in Gmail and stops there. You press Delete yourself. Deleted mail goes to Trash, where Gmail keeps it for 30 days unless you empty Trash sooner.
Why does it say "at least" instead of an exact size?
Gmail's message list doesn't show each message's size, so Mailweight works from the search rule: 247 messages over 10 MB is at least 2.47 GB. The real total is usually more, never less.
Does it read my emails?
It reads the result count Gmail displays, like "1–50 of 1,234", and uses Gmail's own checkboxes to select messages. It doesn't open messages, and nothing it sees ever leaves your browser.
Will it touch starred or important mail?
Every search skips starred mail. The size and age searches also skip mail Gmail has marked important.
How do I free the space straight away?
After deleting, open Gmail's Trash and click "Empty Trash now". Until then, deleted mail still counts toward your storage.
Is it free?
Yes. There's no paid tier, no account, and no ads.
